In India, every person who intends to do a food business has to obtain Food License. Person setting up food business is known as food business operator.
Before staring a food business every eligible food business operator has to obtain food license from the Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). This food license is mandatory for all manufacturers, traders and restaurants for all those people who are involve in food business. - FSSAI State license
State license is required to obtain for those business operators whose turnover is more than 12 lakhs but below 20 crores annually.
- FSSAI Central license
FSSAI Central license is required for those business operators whose turnover is more than 20 crores annually.
